The big screen comes to Rothbury!
Save petrol , help the environment and enjoy a good film in great company! The aim of Rothbury Community Cinema is to bring interesting and entertaining films to the area on a regular basis.
Films were last shown in the Jubilee Hall in 1960 after a run of more than 20 years. Our equipment uses the latest digital technology – so no more broken reels and scratched pictures There are two film shows every month usually on Friday evenings at 7.30pm (Check the What’s On page for dates). We aim to show a wide variety of films to suit all tastes.

Entrance is free but we ask you to make a donation for the use of the Jubilee Hall to help pay for the heating, equipment maintenance etc (Suggested donation £3)
We have two programmes of films – check the What’s On page for details.Friday Film Night: recent releases for a general audience are shown on alternate Fridays, twice a month.
Select Saturdays: an audience-curated selection of more ‘arthouse’ films is offered on the first Saturday of each month.
All screenings begin at 7.30pm and entrance is free, however, we ask you to consider making a small donation for the use of the Jubilee Hall and to help pay for the heating, equipment, maintenance etc.Wine and ice creams are on sale at every screening and we also support regular food and film nights, (when a vegetarian meal is available before the Friday film)
